Cormo may be my new favorite thing.❤️ Spins beautifully -takes up dye perfectly. VM works its way out in spinning/plying. Lama's wool is so so! soft, squishy, decadent like velvet, & it smells like rosemary now (I added essential oil when I set the twist.) *Nothing scratchy about this wool. Definitely purchasing more Lama!

Our Farm

Dresow Family Farm is located within the rolling hills of Lonsdale, MN. We have a flock of Cormo & Cormo cross bred sheep. They are in the company of other livestock and a small herd of free range children.

The Cormo breed was brought to the US via Australia. They are an intentional cross of Superfine Merino and Corriedale. The micron count for the breed is 17-23, which places them in the super fine to fine category. The fleeces that I have had tested range between 17 and 21 microns to date. They are also an excellent meat breed.

The sheep are shorn each spring. I bring the fleeces to nearby Minnesota mills.

Our yarn can be found in local yarn shops (since 2013 ) & in fiber shows in Minnesota, Montana, Idaho, Wisconsin and South Dakota.
